Bilawal visits flood – affected areas in Chiniot
CHINIOT, Sept 18 : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited the flood-affected areas here on Thursday.
Bilawal first visited the Sukkur Barrage and after an evaluation left for Chiniot. He was scheduled to arrive in Chiniot via helicopter and take a bulletproof vehicle to the flood stricken locality of Sain Hussain. However, the bulletproof vehicle got stuck in quicksand and Bilawal’s helicopter landed in Sain Hussain.
Upon his arrival in Sain Hussain, Bilawal travelled in flood water for hours to meet those affected by the devastation. Bilawal spent time with the flood affected and distributed relief goods.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari talking to PPP workers in Chiniot while distributing basic necessities of aid programme among flood victims, said that PPP is with people in the time of need and challenge.
He said that martyr Benazir Bhutto and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has taught PPP to contribute in the development of nation. He said that PPP leaders will give their services till their last breaths.
“Flood has caused great number of losses in Punjab; I am worried about people whereas we will continue our services to help people in this challenging time because government’s efforts are not enough,” he stated.
Moreover, talking to media he said that it’s not the time to do Dharnas against government but to support flood victims; if they are not helped then they will not forgive rulers.
