DJ Butt sent to Adiala Jail on 14-day remand
ISLAMABAD, September 13, DJ Butt, a man behind music and sound system in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sit-in in Islamabad, has been sent to Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand.
DJ Butt, who was arrested a day before yesterday from a guest house by capital police for violating section 144, was produced before magistrate on Saturday.
The magistrate ordered to send DJ Butt to Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The section 144 of Pakistan’s penal code prohibits illegal assembly of people in an area.
Earlier, narrating his arrest story in a media talk, he said seven to eight policemen barged into his room at a guest house at 3.00/3.30 am on Friday morning and arrested him.
He said that he was harassed by policemen, adding these policemen also took away his gold jewelry and other valuables. Butt said that police officials used abusive language.
Friday, the government launched a crackdown on PTI workers and arrested several hundred of them.
