Imran terms PM – foreign tour as waste of national wealth
Islamabad, November 11 (Online): Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif's foreign tours were tantamount to pulling wool over the nation’s eyes, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said here on Tuesday.
“Mian Sahib is making a fool of the nation with his overseas trips, they are mere put-ons”, Khan said while addressing his supporters sitting in outside Parliament House for the last three months.
Trashing government claims of mobilizing fresh foreign outlays into Pakistan, Khan said that investments from overseas only make a bee line to the countries where rule of law reigned supreme.
“Foreign inflows are always directly proportional to the performance of a country’s institutions. As long as these entities are in shambles the overseas investors will not take a chance with their investments”, said he.
In his reaction to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar's U-turn on certain issues, the PTI chief bluntly called him a liar.
"I don't know what to say in response to Dar's balderdash as he is a pathetic prevaricator," Imran Khan said.
Replying to rights activist and lawyer Asama Jehangir's critical remarks, Khan said she just could not talk about humans rights without first acquiring a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
"It seems Jehangir had made friends with Mulana Fazu-ur-Rehman," Khan said.
Earlier, Khan started his daily shotgun address on a congratulatory note as PTI's protest sit-in in Islamabad turned 3-months-old Tuesday.
“I congratulate you all that our protest movement has successfully completed three months. Only your unflagging perseverance and infallible determination has made it a success”, Khan said.
