MQM blasts Sindh CM over Thar crisis
KARACHI, November 13 (Online): MQM leaders on Thursday lambasted Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah for his handling of the humanitarian crisis in Thar due to which dozens of children have died in recent days.
Addressing a press conference here, MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari said that those who are in power in Sindh should be ashamed of what is happening in Thar. Sabzwari said that Shah tried to put the onus of Thar crisis on Dr Saghir Ahmed, who remained health minister in the Sindh government for just around six months.
He said that Shah was solely responsible for the present crisis in Thar. Around 68 infants have died in drought-hit Tharparkar district during the last 44 days.
