Quetta blast Two killed, 10 hurt
Quetta, May 8 (Online): At least two persons were killed and 10 other injured in a blast that occurred on a busy Double Road area of Quetta, capital of Balochistan, officials said on Thursday.
According to local police officials, blast occurred near NADRA office at Double road during rush hours on Thursday after noon.
The bomb which believed to be planted in a vehicle also destroyed several cars and motorcycle and damaged nearby buildings.
Rescue teams were reached at the scene and shifting the injured people to Civil Hospital.
Double Road is located in the heart of the city and there was dense traffic when the blast occurred. The dead and the injured were lying in a pool of blood when rescue workers and police reached the spot.
The blast was heard up to five kilometers from the scene of the blast. The window panes of several shops and buildings were shattered due to the impact of the blast.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad, more than multi kilograms of explosive material was used in the blast.
No group has claimed the responsibility of Thursday blast however Baloch rebel militants groups have been involved in such attacks in Quetta and other part of restive province.
