Taliban claim responsibility of Quetta attack
QUETTA, August 15 (Online): Outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Friday claimed responsibility for attacks on Samungali and Khalid airbases in Quetta in which at least 10 attackers were killed by security forces.
According to media reports the Ghalib Mehsud faction of the TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack on the airbases in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan.
A group of terrorists tried to sneak into the airbases but security forces foiled the attempt.
According to police 11 security personnel were also injured during the operation that lasted for more than four hours.
Taliban in their statement said that they had carried out Thursday night’s attack in response to the military offensive in North Waziristan tribal region.
